Terms of use
Effective June 2026
1. The app
ChoreTrack is a family chore and rewards app. By downloading or using it you agree to these terms. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use ChoreTrack on devices you own for your household's personal, non-commercial use.
2. ChoreTrack Plus subscription
- ChoreTrack Plus is an auto-renewing subscription: $5/month or $50/year per family (prices may vary by region; the store shows the final price).
- New subscribers get a 30-day free trial. You can cancel anytime during the trial and pay nothing.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies.
- The free tier keeps working if you cancel, and data export is always free.
3. Your data
Your family's data is yours. It lives on your devices; synced copies are end-to-end encrypted. See the privacy policy for the full picture. You are responsible for keeping your household code and PINs safe — because of the encryption design, we cannot recover synced data without your code (the optional recovery email exists for exactly this).
4. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the sync service (e.g., automated traffic, attempting to access other households' data), reverse the encryption of data that isn't yours, or use ChoreTrack in violation of law.
5. Disclaimers
ChoreTrack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are a small product, not a guarantee your kids will actually make their beds.
6. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
